This is our lovely 2012 Volkswagen Up 1.0 High Up Automatic, finished in Silver and having covered 78,050 miles.
This is a really nice example and, importantly, it’s the rare automatic version. Small petrol automatics like this are always popular and this one is in fantastic condition for its age and has clearly been well looked after.
Powered by the 1.0 litre petrol engine producing 74bhp and paired with the 5-speed automatic gearbox, it’s an ideal little car for everyday use. It’s compact, easy to drive and park and very economical, with quoted combined fuel economy of over 60mpg. It’s also ULEZ compliant.
The Silver paintwork looks really smart and is complemented by the 15” Spoke alloy wheels, front fog lights and colour coded bumpers and door handles. It’s a clean looking little car that presents really well.
Inside, being the High Up model, you get a much better level of specification than the standard car. This example benefits from heated front seats, Winter Pack, Comfort Pack and Maps & More touchscreen satellite navigation and infotainment.
Further specification includes air conditioning, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, colour display, electrically adjustable heated mirrors, AUX connection and split folding rear seats.
The Volkswagen Up is a brilliant little city car. It’s cheap to run, surprisingly spacious inside and feels much more grown-up to drive than you might expect. It would make a great first car, town car or economical automatic runabout.
The big selling point here is finding an Up in automatic form and in this condition. Combined with the High Up specification, heated seats and navigation, it’s a really nice little car.
